NOTHING TO TELL.

It's been quite some time since I last posted a story—mainly because there was just nothing to tell.

Since returning to Switzerland, everything has been going according to plan. Jobs come in, the garden blooms, I'm back at my best physically, training outdoors with a weight vest, and I see friends and family.

What’s missing, however, is a sense of inspiration, satisfaction, or fulfilment. But that's totally fine. There are times in life to grind and times to enjoy.

Putting myself out there has taught me some core lessons I now benefit from. The best opportunities, people, and moments came from stepping out, being courageous, and taking a leap of faith. No matter how perfectly I planned everything on my Notion board, in my head, or on paper, what I live for can only be achieved in one way:

Going out there.

Whether it's travelling to Southeast Asia, strolling through a city with my camera, or driving through Europe in a van.

For me, life gives back when I step out of the comfort zone most people live in. You might argue that everything I just mentioned isn't really stepping out of a comfort zone—it's just living day by day with a camera and travelling a bit.

While that's true, it's also true that most of us live within the borders of our comfort zones. Whether that's working a 9-to-5 or not, it doesn't matter. Even travelling can become a comfort zone.

What I want to emphasise is that we have a choice every day to script our lives, to do something we've never done, or go somewhere we've never been.

Maybe that's the "problem" I have. I want to try, experience, fail, learn, and grow as much as I can during this short period of time we have here.

And trust me, nothing—absolutely nothing—makes me feel more restless than spending day after day in the same environment, at the same pace, doing the same things. While this lifestyle provides security, routine, and happiness to others, it's my worst nightmare. Especially at my age, people tend to settle. That's also what society suggests we do: settle. I settle too, but I settle for a life where I'm not sure who or what will be in front of my lens the next day. I settle for a life with less security but more freedom—not the kind of freedom we often associate with pools and beaches, but the freedom to choose where I am at any given moment.

And I always—really always—get rewarded when I step out of my comfort zone. Just going for it, day by day, with a vision but no concrete plan—that's the way for me.

Life will unfold; we just have to take the first step. I prefer to visualise rather than plan. Because once we can see it, we can live it. Take me as an example. Even if it's a never-ending road of ups and downs—that's life.

We will never "arrive." We can only enjoy the ride.

P.S. Got some cool shots while strolling through Zurich because we were 30 minutes early to meet a friend. But like I said, not much to tell—just enjoy the pictures.
