I’m Kerim Hehli, a photographer from Switzerland. I make documentary photographs of people, work and movement.
My attention is on what happens between the obvious moments: hands at work, a repeated gesture, the concentration before an effort. Working primarily in black and white, I look for images that tell a story together.
My background in marketing and brand communication helps me understand the purpose behind a commission. My approach starts with listening, understanding the setting and giving people space to be themselves.
I work with Leica. The camera is a means to stay attentive to the person, the light and the moment.
